About the project

Aaron and I had been brainstorming this concept for quite sometime. We did a film called Mind Wide Open a few years back along with Connor Barnes, which received very positive feedback and we knew we wanted to come up with something else. We both share a vision of how we see riding motorcycles and have felt for sometime that the industry has been lacking in expressing that unique perspective.

Our goal was to define riding dirt bikes outside of just big hits and half naked Monster girls. More than entertainment, we wanted to make this video an experience for the viewer. To take the audience down a path where our subject is battling with his inner storms and makes a conscious effort to do something that brings the best out of himself. The term “I do what I love to escape” is something that Aaron and myself disagree with. We believe it is quite opposite of that. Our belief being that when you are doing what you love, you are completely tuned in and as close to reality as you can humanly be. It’s like a form of meditation. When Aaron is at the bar, he is tuned out. He is having troubles facing reality but knows exactly what he has to do in order to heal himself. That is where we coined the term Immunity. It is an act of healing. So Aaron leaves the bar and his demons behind in order to find himself, which is through riding.  We left out a narration to allow the viewer to interpret it how they want.

Overall, we had a very strong crew. This was a passion project so I was fortunate to have some very talented people pull some huge favors to help complete this. I couldn’t have done it without a solid team behind me. I would like to give a huge shout out to the boys at WZRD Media and Ryan Sheets from Sheets Studios for believing in me and truly allowing our vision to become a reality.

Dylan Wineland

What started off as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. I began to realize how in tune with the world I was whenever I had a camera in my hands. My goal is to create experiences for people. Whether it is through action sports projects, or by telling others stories, I want people to feel moved rather than just entertained.

Aaron Mcclintock

I’ve been riding motorcycles competitively and passionately my whole life. At age 28 I’ve come to perceive riding as my clearest outlet of self expression. Whether it’s racing in competition or free riding through the woods, the objective remains the same. To be in the moment and allow creativity to flow.

Connor Barnes

Connor is a photographer/videographer from the mountains of Winter Park, Colorado. While focusing primarily on Real Estate, my real passion lies in shooting action sports, specifically motocross. I started riding when I was four and racing when I was ten. The need to share all that motocross had taught me ignited my passion to be a photographer/videographer and my love for the sport will continue to push me to open eyes on the amazing sport of motocross.
